Brooke and Grammie (& about 50 other first graders)  on the bus on the way to Idaho Botanical Gardens
I got to visit Boise, and sure had a great time, great food, great company, great bedtime "parties",  it was over too too soon.   Tired to download two videos, but after 8-9 attempts, I am moving on.   Thanks for the great visit, Howells!

Elk

This morning about 5 dad took these pix from the back deck, the elk were grazing on their way to or from the river water, we see the herds of deer and elk in the fields along the road now.  They come thru our yard night and morning, I guess Spring is here!  (notice the morning fog, too)

The Power of Example

I see I haven't posted since January, the background of snowflakes is sadly still accurate for our weather. Where is Spring??

there is hope, found these peeking their heads out, before the deer ate them

got this from Kim for my birthday!!
Visited Montana in April, sweetest family!!
Weston taking a horse ride, with Gages's assistance.  Gage is a great 'big' brother!
So glad my grandchildren are being taught, and they make it look so fun!  I am so thankful for dedicated mothers.  This is Macy helping her mom prepare apples to dry in dehydrator.

Visited Robinsons and Jon in April, was wonderful!

Going to visit Howells soon, can't wait!

Christmas IS Family

Just taking it all in!
Christmas was wonderful, we got to see all of our family!  We were treated royally in Montana, then to Idaho for a repeat royal treatment.  These pix aren't in order, and it is just a sampling, but hope you enjoy and that you can get just a tiny feeling of the wonderful time we had.  We love our family, each one, even those whose pix I didn't get in here!   Have a wonderful 2011, we are planning to.

Early Christmas with these adorable sweet Witts, it was great great fun!

La NiÑa

The Pend Orielle Sunday
Well, snow has come to us.  What a difference a week makes. It is beautiful, it can quit now.  But don't think it will.   Over 20 inches. . . on Saturday it warmed for awhile up to 30+ and the snow compacted, on Sunday on the way to Church, the river was still and clear, and everything was white or silver, Kim took a pix with his phone.  Doesn't show how very breathtaking it was, you will have to come see!  Monday was clear, but started after midnite and hasn't stopped.  I took these pix about 7 this morning.  It is 1 pm and still falling down ....down..... down...  May you all be warm, safe and enjoy the view aroud you!

Change of Season

I  haven't figured out how to get the pix in the order I want, but here goes.  The pix with grandkids were taken in October, we met with Lindsay in Missoula to celebrate Weston's birthday.  Gage and Macy did a mask painting project in our hotel room, great fun.  See the little monkey, er uh, Gage,  modeling one of their creations.  Gage and Weston played so well, Weston loves to be right in the action with Macy and Gage and they are so good to him.   Then some pix of our yard today, it is so green and I am sad to see the summer end.   Most of the flowers died with the cooler weather, but my peppermint and lemon have thrived, as well as the California Poppy.   I took these while Kim and I put up the Christmas lights today, while still good weather.  A bit early, but hey!   The autumn has been breathtaking.  Totally loved the colors and the awesome beautiful world we are blessed to live in.   Hope all are enjoying your surroundings.
